| KSHHRA was established
over 30 years ago, and currently has 40+ professional members.
Purpose of the Society:
- To promote an understanding of
the principles, policies, and methods necessary for
developing and maintaining satisfactory human resources
in hospital and healthcare-related institutions in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- To assist in the improvement of
techniques and methods of human resources
administration.
- To provide a medium for the
interchange of ideas and experience on human resources
issues.
- To advise and assist institutions
desiring to introduce human resources management.
- To promote and encourage the
development of a spirit of professional pride in human
resources administration.
- To advance the interests and
welfare of those engaged in human resources.
Methods of the Society:
- Create networking opportunities
to access Kentucky HR professionals with expertise in
the full scope of HR activities, including benefits,
compensation, employee relations, employment, training,
and development.
- Represent the unique needs of
healthcare HR professionals, working in facilities
ranging from large health systems to small rural
hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, behavioral health
facilities, home health agencies, and long-term care
facilities.
- Present educational opportunities
at our KSHHRA-sponsored meetings.
- Monitor legislative activity and
other current events that impact healthcare human
resources administration.
- Collaborate with others to have
our voices heard at the state and national level.
