 | KSHHRA was established over 30 years ago, and currently has 40+ professional members. Purpose of the Society:
- To promote an understanding of the principles, policies, and methods necessary for developing and maintaining satisfactory human resources in hospital and healthcare-related institutions in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- To assist in the improvement of techniques and methods of human resources administration.
- To provide a medium for the interchange of ideas and experience on human resources issues.
- To advise and assist institutions desiring to introduce human resources management.
- To promote and encourage the development of a spirit of professional pride in human resources administration.
- To advance the interests and welfare of those engaged in human resources.
Methods of the Society:
- Create networking opportunities to access Kentucky HR professionals with expertise in the full scope of HR activities, including benefits, compensation, employee relations, employment, training, and development.
- Represent the unique needs of healthcare HR professionals, working in facilities ranging from large health systems to small rural hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, behavioral health facilities, home health agencies, and long term care facilities.
- Present educational opportunities at our KSHHRA-sponsored meetings.
- Monitor legislative activity and other current events that impact healthcare human resources administration.
- Collaborate with others to have our voices heard at the state and national level.
